Judith Price
Jewellery in precious metals based on natural forms
judithsprice@tiscali.co.uk
Judith designs and makes jewellery from her workshop at her home in North Worcestershire, inspired by her garden and the surrounding countryside. Her pieces have a sense of natural growth. She sometimes incorporates gemstones into the work which is made mainly in silver and 18ct. gold.
The great majority of Judith’s work is one-off, that is, each piece is made individually, often by drawing directly on the metal and cutting with a fine piecing saw; forging and bending wire then assembling the work by soldering, taking care to let the metal take the lead in the design, to enhance its inherent qualities. She uses a variety of finishes such as satin and frosted surfaces as well as a bright polish.
